Elevate 2013 Review Post Link Party

One of the things that we most look forward to about throwing Elevate is stopping by the blogs of all our new {and old} friends and reading about your personal experience at the conference, what you enjoyed, what inspired you, how it has changed you as a woman and as a blogger.
Here is the link to all the photos Lora took, feel free to grab as many as you like!  We just ask that you provide photo credit and link to her site.
And here is the link to the video she created so you can repost it if you like as well.
Here are a couple of our very favorite photos..make sure to link up your Elevate related posts below and leave a little love on each other's posts!

Thank you to all of our incredible sponsors!

We can't do this without amazing sponsors and we loved working with each of these companies! Hope you will give them some love!

Do You Miss Us Yet?

Do you miss us yet?  Cause we miss you guys already!

We can't believe that Elevate 2013 has already come and gone, it makes us kinda sad.  The one good thing about Elevate being over is that we get to read all your amazing heartfelt posts recapping your experiences and what you have taken away from the day.

Thursday we will be posting a linky party so you can link your Elevate related posts and hop around to visit each other so make sure to stop by and add your link!  We will also have a link for you to download all the photos that our amazing photographer, Lora, took.  For now, here are just a couple including our group photo.  All we ask is that if you use them in your posts, you link back to Lora's site (www.loraknightphotography.com).

Make it a great week and we'll see you back here on Thursday!

Announcing the 2013 Elevate Service Project: Sole Hope

We are so excited to have Nat from Take the Cannoli on the blog today to introduce the service project that we will be working on during Elevate this year.  It's a charity near and dear to her heart and we are so blessed to have her helping to organize this inspired project.

Take it away Nat!

Have you heard of Sole Hope? Well they are amazing and are striving to help change lives and offer Hope to so many in Africa but  have touched the lives of thousands around the world through their journey.

Sole Hope is a group of passionate, committed people who are putting closed toed shoes on African children, one pair at a time. It all started with a chance encounter with a YouTube video (see below)--a video that broke their hearts, took them WAY out of their comfort zones, and lead them to Uganda.

Along the way, Sole Hope realized they could not only help African children, but also help African men and women by teaching them a simple trade—how to make shoes. And so it began. They soon discovered they could teach others—homeless, unemployed, recovering addicts, and nonprofits—how to make shoes, so they could earn a decent living and raise funds for their causes.

So Sole Hope is touching lives in the U.S. and Africa, and they're only getting started!

They began in chaos; they now have a plan, a vision, and core values. They also have an amazing team, high-energy, crazy folks that love God, people, fun, and saving the world.
First if you haven't already, please check out Sole Hope's website HERE but please understand that there are millions of these precious children in Africa right now, becoming infested because of a simple problem. Sole Hope is solving that problem, one pair of shoes at a time!

See for yourself in the short video below.

Not everyone can do everything but everyone can do something. Having a Sole Hope Shoe Cutting Party is not only fun and easy, but it is a tangible way to give back and affect lives thousands of miles away

And this year during the Service Project, all Elevate attendees will have the opportunity to be part of changing lives.

During that time you will be able to cut fabric for shoes while mingling with awesome ladies and having a blast! What better way to be crafty than to be purposeful and being part of something bigger!

Every single piece of fabric you cut will clothe the feet of children and will protect them from jigger infestations. It will provide jobs for a woman in Uganda who sew the shoes. It will change her family’s life and give her pride in her skill and workmanship and provide income to care for her family.

So excited to have Sole Hope part of the Elevate Conference this year!

All denim provided for Service project is donated from

New Event Venue... You Can Find Us at the Beach!

Elevate is just around the corner and we hope you all are as excited as we are! We have some amazing news and we wanted to share it with you all first! Are you ready....you might want to sit down for this one.

We are excited to announce that
will be the sponsoring host of Elevate 2013

 photo Dunes_zpsf0d57fe1.jpg

When the gracious staff at The Dunes offered us the opportunity to hold our conference in their BRAND NEW event space ON THE BEACH in Newport Beach we just couldn't say no. Ocean, Sand, Palm Trees??? Could you imagine a better location to spend the day at?!

* Parking: Event parking is $10 per car for the entire day. Feel free to utilize the Elevate Facebook page to organize carpools! The Fashion Island Mall is less than a mile from the Dunes so you could meet there and carpool over if you like. If this cost is a problem for you, feel free to shoot us an email.  Link to directions HERE

* We will be having lunch and dinner outside so you may want to throw on some sunblock and bring a light sweater or jacket since we will be right on the water.

* Hashtag: We want to show The Dunes lots of love for offering us this amazing venue so feel free use the hashtag #npdunes along with #elevateconf in your social media posts.

A few other matters of business...

* We will be cutting out fabric to send to Sole Hope to make shoes for children in Africa so if you could bring either fabric scissors or pinking sheers, we would appreciate it!

* We will be getting a little handy during our craft so please bring a hammer (it can be small). You can mark your name on them with a piece of tape and we will have a box at the registration table for you to put them in for the day. Heaven knows our purses are heavy enough with out tools in them! If you do not have access to a hammer, we will have a couple, but certainly not enough for everyone.

* The Hotel room block will be released on April 10th so if you have not already booked your room, snap to it! Here is the link to the hotel info: http://elevateblogconference.blogspot.com/p/registration.html

Well, that seems to be everything for now. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions you may have! We are here to help make this an amazing experience for everyone!

Cheers!

Summer, Jen & Nichole

Elevate 2012 Wrap Up and Link Party

It's been a month since Elevate and we thought it was the perfect time to share some photos and start our review post link up.  It is a great reminder of the amazing speakers and bonding time we all enjoyed.  It's right about this time that life starts to take over and those goals we set and inspiration we found start to dwindle.  We hope that this look back at the wonderful day we shared helps to reignite the spark you caught a month ago.

Feel free to grab any photos you like, but if you re-post please be sure to give credit to Kristine from Lucky Lime Photography who did such a beautiful job at capturing the wonderful memories for us all.  After you scroll through the photo bomb, link up your Elevate post(s) at the bottom.  We hope to see you next year!
